Martensitic (MART) steels are part of the important group of Advanced High-Strength Steels (AHSS) steels, which are specifically engineered to meet the challenges of today’s vehicles for stringent safety regulations, emissions reduction, solid performance, at affordable costs.
Magnesium alloys are widely, and increasingly used in some key industrial sectors such as the automotive and aerospace industry and can be particularly associated with providing possibilities for meeting ever increasing light weighting requirements.
To help meet the ever increasing demands of fossil fuel powerplants and the associated stringent efficiency requirements, all aspects of material selection are critical to ensuring an overall increased material lifecycle within the plant.
