Creep Data: Total Materia presents yield stress and creep rupture strength at different temperatures which are displayed along with the calculation of Larsen-Miller parameter and the remaining life of the component.
As just one part of the Extended Range, our creep data allows vital additional information to be viewed by the engineering world and when combined with the Total Materia database provides the ultimate advanced property tool. You can use the interactive functions to make your own calculations and obtain data specific to your individual needs.
Step 1: Choosing a search option
Suppose that you want to view creep data for P305GH.
Your first step is to choose a search option. The Total Materia search engine performs material searches by designation most efficiently through the Quick Search option.
Step 2: Defining search criteria
Enter material P305GH in the designation field. Since the origin of the material is unknown, leave 'All' in country's pop-up list.
All you have to do then is to simply click "search" button. In a few seconds the Total Materia search engine will find all materials, which have P305GH in their designation.
Step 3: Selecting the material from the list of results
Searching materials by designation generally results in a list of materials that satisfy the criteria you gave. Depending on the search criteria, this list can be quite large (up to 2000 materials), but in our example the resulting list consists of 17 materials. By clicking on their designation, you can retrieve and review their properties. If your search yields more than 2000 materials it will be necessary to refine your search.
Select the material of interest from the list. In this example we select the Euronorm standard for viewing. Click on the material to see the range of data available for viewing.
Step 4: Selecting the subgroup
Total Materia will conveniently show all matching search results in subgroups. You can then simply select the material that interests you and view any of its properties by clicking on the relevant link.
To view all available creep data click on the link in the subgroup of your choice.
Step 5: Viewing creep data
Total Materia will display a range of creep data for the material and give you the option to select to view creep data or the relevant Larson-Miller parameter for the material of choice.
Click on the 'creep data' tab to view yield stress and creep rupture strength at a range of temperatures.
By clicking on the 'Larson-Miller Parameter' tab you can use our advanced algorithms to calculate both yield stress and creep rupture strength under conditions of your choice. Enter and stress value of 140MPa for example and a working temperature of 450°C.
By entering applicable stress and temperature parameters you can calculate your own Larson-Miller parameter data to give you vital information for further design activities.
