Heat Treatments
- After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to a temperature below 538°C (1000°F) prior to heat treating.<br>Solution treating and quenching: austenitizing/solutioning temperature 1177°C (2150°F), liquid/rapid cooling. Quenching cool below 260°C (500°F).
