UNI P-AlSi1MgMn Heat Treatments
- R: Complete annealing at 360 - 400 °C for 4 - 8 hours with slow cooling in oven (until 250 °C). TN: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 530 - 545°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 2 hours; natural ageing (max 50°C) for at least 96 hours; TA 14: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 530 - 545°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 2 hours; artificial ageing at 135 - 145°C for 2 - 4 hours to be completed within 2 hours from quenching. TA 16: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 530 - 545°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 2 hours; artificial ageing at 155 - 165°C for 8 - 12 hours to be completed within 2 hours from quenching. TA 16 H 20: as per TA 16 followed by hardening H 20. Hot working range: 400 - 500°C.
