Heat Treatments
- R: Annealing at 350 - 390°C for 4 - 8 hours. T: Tempering in hot water from 510 - 530°C after preheating for at least 12 hours for sand castings and 8 hours for permanent mould castings. A: Artificial ageing at 150 - 160°C for 4 hours (A 15,5/4) or 8 hours (A 15,5/8) at 165 - 175°C, for 16 hours (A 15,17/16), depending on the required mechanical properties.
