ISO X5CrNi18-10 Heat Treatments


  • Tempering: Heated at 250°C to 450°C, held for 30 min to 24h, slowly cooled in the air.
  • Heat treated at 250-425°C; Duration: 30 min to 4h; Air cooling; The optimum heat treatment conditions may be very different. The spring manufacturer shall choose those conditions answering the purpose; The heat treatment data refer to compression springs, torsion and tension (springs without initial tension); The lower temperature is recommended for extension springs with prestress.
