Heat Treatments

  • Austenitizing at min. 925°C (1700°F); Air cool (normalize) or liquid quench; Tempering at min. 620°C (1150°F); Post-weld heat treatment must be at or below the final tempering temperature; Following quenching the castings must be cooled below 260°C (500°F) prior to tempering.
