GB 08Ni3DR Heat Treatments
- Steel plates normalized, normalized (to allow water-cooled accelerated cooling) plus tempering, quenching and off-line heat treatment delivery, the tempering temperature is not less than 600°C.
- Normalizing for tR ≤ 30 mm: Austenitizing at 830 - 880°C and cooling in air.
Normalizing and tempering for 30 < tR ≤ 50 mm: Austenitizing at 820 - 870°C and cooling in air or water, tempering at 580 - 640°C and cooling in air or water.
Quenching and tempering for 30 < tR ≤ 50 mm: Austenitizing at 820 - 870°C and quenching in oil or water, tempering at 580 - 640°C and cooling in air or water.
