BDS 12 Ni 14 Heat Treatments
- Normalized (+N):
Austenitizing at 830 to 880°C and air cooling.
Normalized and tempered (+NT):
Austenitizing at 830 to 880°C and air cooling; Tempering at 580 to 640°C and air or water cooling.
Quenched and tempered (+QT):
Austenitizing at 820 to 870°C and water and oil cooling. Tempering at 580 to 640°C and air or water cooling. - 1. Normalized (+N): Austenitized or solution annealed at 830 to 880°C and air cooled;
2. Normalized and tempered (+ NT): Austenitized or solution annealed at 830 to 880°C and air cooled; Tempered at 580 to 640°C and air or water cooled;
3. Quenched and tempered (+QT): Austenitized or solution annealed at 820 to 870°C and oil or water cooled; Tempered at 580 to 640°C and air or water cooled.
