ISO 12 Ni 14 G2 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing (N): 830-880°C, air cool; Normalizing (N+T): 830-880°C, air cool, and Tempering: 580-640°C, air cool or water quench; Quenching(Q+T): 820-870°C, water or oil quench and Tempering:580-640°C, air cool or water quench.
- Normalized (N). Austenitizing or solution temperature: 830 - 880°C, cooling in air.
Normalized and (if appropriate) tempered (N+T). Austenitizing or solution temperature: 830 - 880°C, cooling in air. Tempering: 580 - 640°C, cooling in air or water.
Quenched and tempered (Q+T). Austenitizing or solution temperature: 820 - 870°C, cooling in water or oil. Tempering: 580 - 640°C, cooling in air or water.
