UNI 1.4542 Heat Treatments

  • Hot formed at 1150-900°C, air cooled.
    A: Annealed at 600-750°C, furnace or air cooled.
    P930: Quenched at 1020-1080°C, oil cooled. Tempered at 620°C.
    P1070: Quenched at 1020-1080°C, oil cooled. Tempered at 550°C.
    P1300: Quenched at 1020-1080°C, oil cooled. Tempered at 480°C.
  • Homogenised, solution treated, precipitation hardened and sub zero:
    1150°C; ≥ 90 minutes; air cooled or oil quenched.
    1040°C; ≥ 60 minutes; air cooled or oil quenched.
    480°C; ≥ 4 h; air cooled.
    -70°C; ≥ 60 minutes.
