ISO X5CrNiCuNb16-4 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming: 1150-900°C, air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT) (Quick cooling to = 20°C; cooling within 1h to -70°C; holding time 8h; reheating in air to +20°C): 1025-1055°C, air cooling. Precipitation hardening (+P1300): Annealing: 1025-1055, air cooling; 4h (160-630°C); (+P900): Annealing: 1025-1055, air cooling; 1h (590-610°C); (+P1070): Annealing: 1025-1055, air cooling; 1h (580-600°C); (+P950): Annealing: 1025-1055, air cooling; 1h (540-560°C); (+P850): Annealing: 1025-1055, air cooling; 1h (470-490°C); Stress relieving: = 4h (600-660°C).
- Hot forming: 1150-900°C, furnace or air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT): 1020-1060°C, rapid cooling. Not suitable for direct application; prompt precipitation hardening after solution annealing is recommended to avoid cracking. Precipitation hardening (+P1): 610-630°C, air cooling; Precipitation hardening (+P2): 570-590°C, air cooling; Precipitation hardening (+P3): 540-560°C, air cooling; Precipitation hardening (+P4): 470-490°C, air cooling.
