GOST 15HM Heat Treatments
- Normalization at a temperature of 930°C to 960°C, leave at a temperature of 680°C to 730°C with an exposure of at least 30 minutes, cooling in air.
Normalization of hot-deformed pipes with deformation heating is allowed, except pipes made of undeformed billet, at the same time the temperature at the end of deformation should not be lower than the normalization temperature.
It is allowed to normalize the pipes from a separate heating without taking a holiday. It is allowed to use accelerated fan or air-cooling cooling. - Normalized: 880°C, air cooled;
Tempered: 650°C; air cooled.
Normalization could be (as requested): ± 15°C and tempering could be (as requested): ± 50°C.
