AFNOR NF Z 20 C 13 Heat Treatments
- Annealed at 775 to 825°C for semi-finished products forging and re-rolling, bars and wire rods for machining and at 800 to 850°C for semi-finished products for hot-spinning, wire rod intended for drawing or forming;
Quenched and tempered condition (T700): Quenched at 950-1000°C, oil and air cooled and Tempered at 675-725°C;
Quenched and tempered condition (T800): Quenched at 950-1000°C, oil and air cooled and Tempered at 650-700°C. - Quenched and tempered: Oil quenched at 950-1000°C and tempered at 180-210°C.
Softened state: Annealed at 730-780°C, cooled in oven.
