EN 1.4021 Heat Treatments
- Hot formed at 1100-800°C, slow cooled.
A: annealed at 750-850°C.
QT700: quenched at 950-1050°C, oil or air cooled. Tempered at 650-750°C.
QT800: quenched at 950-1050°C, oil or air cooled. Tempered at 600-700°C. - Hot forming: 1100-800°C, slow cooling; Annealing (+A): 745-825°C, air cooling; Quenching (+QT700): 950-1050°C, oil or air cooling; (If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified should usually be preferred, or even exceeded); Tempering: 650-750°C; Quenching (+QT800): 950-1050°C, oil or air cooling; (If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified should usually be preferred, or even exceeded); Tempering: 600-700°C.
