DIN 31 CrMo 12 Heat Treatments
- Softening at 650 to 700°C;
Hardening in oil at 870 to 910°C and Tempering at 570 to 700°C;
Nitriding at 500 to 520°C;
Nitrocarburizing in gas salt bath at 570 to 580°C or in powder plasma max. 580°C. - Soft annealing: 650-700°C; Hardening: 870-930°C (0,5 h minimum), oil or water cooling; Tempering: 580-700°C (1 h minimum); Nitriding: 480-570°C.
