WL 1.8564 Heat Treatments
- Annealing 650°C to 700°C; (QT1) Hardening: 870-910°C, oil cooling; Tempering: 620-700°C; (QT2) Hardening: 870-910°C, oil cooling; Tempering: 570-650°C.
- The material is to relax before nitriding at least 550°C. The surface needs to be nitrated grease and decarburization. Usually is nitride at 500°C to 520°C. The nitriding time depends on the desired layer depth.
