DIN 31 CrMoV 9 Heat Treatments

  • Softening at 680 to 720°C;
    Hardening in oil or water at 840 to 880°C and Tempering at 570 to 680°C;
    Nitriding at 500 to 520°C;
    Nitrocarburizing in gas salt bath at 570 to 580°C or in powder plasma max. 580°C.
  • Soft annealing: 680-720°C; Hardening: 870-930°C (0,5 h minimum), oil or water cooling; Tempering: 580-700°C (1 h minimum); Nitriding: 480-570°C.
