GB NS6500 Heat Treatments
- Cold drawn + aged: 595 ± 8°C for 8-16h with the speed of 10-15°C/h, furnace cooled 480°C, after air cooled.
- Heated to ≥ 870°C (± 15°C); quick cooling.
Aged: 1) Heat to 590 - 610°C, heat preservation for 8 - 16 hours, furnace cool to 480°C at a rate of 8 - 15°C/hour. 2) Heat to 590 - 610°C, heat preservation for 8 - 16 hours, furnace cool to 540°C, heat preservation for 6 hours, furnace cool to 480°C, heat preservation for 8 hours, air cooled.
