PROPRIETARY BE2363 Heat Treatments
- Annealing at 800 - 840°C (1470 - 1545°F).
Stress relieving around 650°C (1200°F).
Hardening: Austenitizing at 950 - 980°C (1740 - 1795°F), holding for 15 -30 minutes and quench in oil or cool in air.
Tempering: Slow heating to tempering temperature immediately after hardening, holding in furnace for minimum 2 h (recommended 4 - 6 h). Cooling in furnace until the temperature have fallen below 100°C (210°F).
