VdTÜV C 21 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing from 880-920°C, after reaching the temperature in the entire cross-section, cooling in still air;
Stress relieving from 520-580°C, for t ≤ 15mm (min.15 min), for 15 < t ≤ 30mm (min.30 min), for t > 30mm (approx.60 min), cooling in air. For subsequent annealing, the lower limit of the temperature range should be aimed for. - Normalizing from 880 to 940°C, after reaching the temperature throughout the cross-section, cooling in still air; Stress relieving from 520 to 580°C, for t <= 15mm (>= 15min), for 15 < t <= 30mm (>= 30min), for > 30mm (approx. 60min); Cooling in still air.
