- Normalized (+N): Austenitizing at 830 to 880°C, air cooling.
Normalized and tempered (+ NT): Austenitizing at 830 to 880°C, air cooling; Tempering at 580 to 640°C, air or water cooling.
Quenched and tempered (+QT): Austenitizing at 820 to 870°C, water or oil cooling; Tempering at 580 to 640°C, air or water cooling.
