UNI X7CrNiAl17-7 Heat Treatments

  • Delivery condition: Solution treated; 1025 ≤ T ≤ 1055°C for at least 30 min; air cooled (AC) or oil quenched (OQ).
    Use condition: Solution treated and precipitation hardened; 740 ≤ T ≤ 780°C for at least 90 min + cool to T ≤ 20°C within 1 h; hold for 30 min + 550 ≤ T ≤ 580°C for at least 90 min; air cool (AC).
  • Heat treated at 450-490°C; Duration: <= 1h; Air cooling; The optimum heat treatment conditions may be very different. The spring manufacturer shall choose those conditions answering the purpose; The heat treatment data refer to compression springs, torsion and tension (springs without initial tension).
