PROPRIETARY VIRGO 15.5 PH Heat Treatments


  • Solution annealing 1038°C ± 15°C for 30 minutes, up to 1h air cooling / oil quenching below 25°C. The highest mechanical properties are obtained with the following heat treatment : 480°C, 1h , air cooling. Higher ductilities are obtained when using higher aging temperatures up to 620°C. Heat treatment 1: Hardening at 496°C for 4 h, air cooling. Heat treatment 2: Hardening at 593°C for 4 h, air cooling.
