ASTM A 705 XM-12 Heat Treatments
- Solution annealing (A): 1040 ± 15°C (1900 ± 25°F), cooling as required to below 32°C (90°F).
Suggested hardening or aging treatment, or both:
H900: 480°C (900°F), 1.0 h min. (cooling in air),
H925: 495°C (925°F), 4.0 h min. (cooling in air),
H1025: 550°C (1025°F), 4.0 h min. (cooling in air),
H1075: 580°C (1075°F), 4.0 h min. (cooling in air),
H1100: 595°C (1100°F), 4.0 h min. (cooling in air),
H1150: 620°C (1150°F), 4.0 h min. (cooling in air),
H1150M: 760°C (1400°F), 2 h min. (cooling in air) plus 620°C (1150°F), 4 h min. (cooling in air).
