PROPRIETARY BÖHLER T552 EXTRA Heat Treatments
- Hot forming, forging: 1180 to 850°C, Slow cooling in furnace or in thermal insulating material.
Annealing: 690 to 700°C, Cooling in furnace
Hardening: 1030 to 1070°C. For application as corrosion resistant steel (e.g. turbine blades for final stage), recommend 990 - 1030°C. Cooling in oil, air
Tempering I: 640 to 670°C / Air
Tempering II: 567 to 580°C / Air
