- Normalized (+N): Austenitized at 830-880°C, air cooled
Normalized and tempered (+NT): Austenitized at 830-880°C, air cooled. Tempered at 580-640°C, air cooled or water quenched
Quenched and tempered (+QT): Austenitized at 820-870°C, water or oil quenched. Tempered at 580-640°C, air cooled or water quenched - Hardening: 820-880°C, water or oil quench; Tempering: 580-660°C.
