ASTM A 747 CB7Cu-2 Heat Treatments


  • H900: Precipitation hardening at 480 ± 15°C (900 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 1.5h (cooling in air)
    H925: Precipitation hardening at 495 ± 15°C (925 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 1.5h (cooling in air)
    H1025: Precipitation hardening at 550 ± 15°C (1025 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 4h (cooling in air)
    H1075: Precipitation hardening at 580 ± 15°C (1075 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 4h (cooling in air)
    H1100: Precipitation hardening at 595 ± 15°C (1100 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 4h (cooling in air)
    H1150: Precipitation hardening at 620 ± 15°C (1150 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 4h (cooling in air)
    H1150M: I- Precipitation hardening at 760 ± 15°C (1400 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 2h (cooling in air); II - Precipitation hardening at 620 ± 15°C (1150 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 4h (cooling in air)
    H1150DBL: Precipitation hardening twice at 620 ± 15°C (1150 ± 25°F) for a minimum of 4h (cooling in air)
    Solution heat treatment: Heating to 1050 ± 30°C (1925 ± 50°F) holding for 1.2 min/mm (the 30 min/in.) of section, but not less than 30 min, and cooling to below 30°C (90°F)
    Precipitation hardening at 495 ± 15°C (925 ± 25°F), when Nb minimum content is specified
