NMX CB7 Cu-2 Heat Treatments
- All castings must be given a solution treatment, unless it is ordered in the annealed condition by s solution, should be precipitation hardened. The annealing heat treatment by solution should consist of heating parts and the test material at 1323°K (1050°C) + 30°K (30°C); maintain this temperature 1.2 min/mm section, but not less than 30 minutes, and air cool below 303°K (30°C).The temperature used for precipitation hardening should be kept within the range of + 15°K (+ 15°C). Where a minimum Nb content is specified, the minimum temperature for precipitation hardening should be 768°K (495°C). H900: Precipitation hardening: T = 480°C for 110 min. (cooling in air); H925: Precipitation hardening: T = 495°C for 110 min. (cooling in air); H1025: Precipitation hardening: T = 550°C for 240 min. (cooling in air); H1075: Precipitation hardening: T = 580°C for 240 min. (cooling in air); H1100: Precipitation hardening: T = 595°C for 240 min. (cooling in air); H1150: Precipitation hardening: T = 620°C for 240 min. (cooling in air); H1150M: I- Precipitation hardening: T = 760°C for 60 min. (cooling in air); II - Precipitation hardening: T = 620°C for 240 min. (cooling in air); H1150DBL: Precipitation hardening: T = 620°C for 240 min. (cooling in air).
