SAE 5348 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated: heating to 1040°C ± 15, holding at heat for 1 hr per 25 mm of section thickness but not less than 30 min., and cooling as required to below 30°C. After precipitation heat treatment: heating to 495°C ± 5, holding at heat for 90 min. ± 15, and cooling in air.
