ASTM A 638 Grade 662 Heat Treatments
- Solution treatment: 955 to 1040°C (1750 to 1900°F), hold for 1 h, min, followed by quenching in oil or water.
Precipitation hardening: 675 to 760°C (1250 to 1400°F), hold for 5 h, min, slow cooling in 5 h, min, to 650 ± 10°C (1200 ± 15°F), hold for 20 h, min, followed by air or furnace cooling.
