ASTM A 453 Grade 662 Class A Heat Treatments
- Solution treatment at 980°C ± 14°C (1800 ± 25°F) for 2 hours and then liquid quench.
Hardening treatment at 730 - 760°C (1350 to 1400°F), hold for 20 hours, furnace cool to 650°C ± 14°C (1200 ± 25°F) and hold for 20 hours and then air cool.
