EN C60E Heat Treatments
- Hardening: 800-840°C (Temperatures at the lower end of the range are generally used for water, and those at the upper end for oil quenching; Time for austenitizing as a guide: at least 30 min.);
Quenching agent: Oil or water (Other quenching agents such as synthetic quenchants may also be used.);
Tempering: 550-660°C (Time for tempering as a guide: at least 1h.);
End quench test austenitizing: 830 ± 5°C (Time for austenitizing as a guide: 30-35 min.);
Normalizing: 820-860°C. - Annealed (+A): 650-700°C Normalized (+N): 820-860°C Austenitized: 800-840°C Tempered: 550-680°C
