DIN X7CrNiAl17-7 Heat Treatments
- Condition (K + Artificial ageing): Tempering or single artificial ageing at 480 to 550°C, cooling in air 1 to 2h
Solution annealing and Two stages artificial ageing:
1st stage: Temperature at 760 to 820°C, cooling in water or air to below 12°C. Lower maximum temperatures may be needed it is needed if ii is attempted to obtain a higher tensile strength than is given;
2st stage: Temperature at 480 to 550°C, cooling in air 1 – 2h - Delivery condition: Solution treated; 1025 ≤ T ≤ 1055°C for at least 30 min; air cooled (AC) or oil quenched (OQ).
Use condition: Solution treated and precipitation hardened; 740 ≤ T ≤ 780°C for at least 90 min + cool to T ≤ 20°C within 1 h; hold for 30 min + 550 ≤ T ≤ 580°C for at least 90 min; air cool (AC).
