PROPRIETARY CT PowderRange Ti64 E Heat Treatments
- Stress relieving: Heating at 593 ± 14°C (1100 ± 25°F) for 2h under vacuum or argon atmosphere.
Hot Isostatic Pressed condition (HIP): HIP is recommended for microstructure homogenization, removal of voids due to splatter, entrapped gas, and keyhole porosity, as well as shrinkage-induced micro-cracks in the material. Heating under inert atmosphere at not less than 100MPa within the range of 900 to 955°C (1650 to 1750°F), hold at the selected temperature within ± 14°C (25°F) for 120 to 240 minutes, then cool under inert atmosphere to below 427°C (800°F).
