SAE Ti-6Al-4V ELI Heat Treatments


  • Annealed: 593°- 649°C for 1 hour; minimum; Solution treated and aged: 524°+/- 14°C for 2 to 2.5 hours.
  • Annealed: Heating to a temperature within the range 704 - 899°C (1300 - 1650°F), holding at the selected temperature within ± 14°C (± 25°F) for a time commensurate with product thickness and heating equipment and procedure used, and cooling.
    Mechanical properties obtained after specimen being heated in air to 720 ± 14°C (1325 ± 25°F), held at heat for 20 ± 2 minutes, cooled at a rate equivalent to an air cool or slower, and descaled.
