GOST AK7ch Heat Treatments
- T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 7h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 150 +/- 5°C, 1 - 3h;
T2 - Aging 300 +/- 10°C, 2 - 4h;
T4 - Solution heat treated and naturally aged (T4), heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 6h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C;
T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 6h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 150 +/- 5°C, 1 - 3h;
T5 - Hardening and short (incomplete) artificial aging, heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 6h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, Two-stage heating: at 190+/-10, 0.5h and 150+/-5°C, 2h.
T6 - Solution heat treated and artificially aged, heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 6h, and cooling in water at 20-100°C, aging 200 +/- 5°C, 2 - 5h;
T7 - Solution heat treated and overaged/stabilized (T7), heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 6h, and cooling in water at 80-100°C, aging 225 +/- 10°C, 3-5h;
T8 - Solution heat treated and softened (T8), heating temperature at 535 +/-5°C, 2 - 6h, and cooling in water at 80-100°C, aging 250 +/- 10°C, 3-5h
