AA A356.0 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated and artificially aged (T6): Solution heat treated at 537.7°C (± 5.56°C) / 1000°F (± 10°F)/12 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Aging treatment: At 154.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 310°F (± 10°F) for 3 - 5 hours.
T61: Solution heat treated at 537.7°C (± 5.56°C) / 1000°F (± 10°F)/6 - 12 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Aging treatment: Room temperature (± 5.56°C) / (± 10°F) for 8 hours minimum then at 154.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 310°F (± 10°F) for 6 - 12 hours.
