SAE B201.0 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treatment: Heat to 513 ± 6°C (955 ± 10°F) and soak for 2 ± 0.25 hour, raise temperature to 527 ± 6°C (980 ± 10°F) and soak for not less than 14 hours and quench. Precipitation heat treatment to overage: soak at 188 ± 3°C (370 ± 5°F) for 5 hours minimum and cool in air.
