    (1) Quench in water at 65 to100°C (150 to 212°F) except as noted.
    (2) Step solution heat treat 2h at 510°C (950°F) prior to 527°C (980°F) temperature to avoid eutectic meeting.
    (3) Hold at room temperature for 12–24h between solution and precipitation heat treatments.
  • Annealing at 427°C (800°F), minimum soak time is 1 hour; Air cooling;
    Solution heat treatment shall be at the temperature: 527°C (980°F), minimum soak time is 14 hours and Quenched;
    A step solution treatment at 513°C (955°F), for not less than 2 hours prior to the noted solution treatment, is recommended.
    Temper after Solution treatment shall be T4 and delay at room temperature.
    Aging (precipitation heat treatment):
    Condition before Aging W or T4;
    Aging at 188°C (370°F), soak time is 5 minimum hours;
    Temper T7 after Aging.
