AA 201.0 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated and artificially aged (T6): Solution heat treated in the range 510 - 515.5°C (± 5.56°C) / 950 - 960°F (± 10°F)/2 hours, then in the range 526.6 - 532.2°C (± 5.56°C) / 980 - 990°F (± 10°F)/14 - 20 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Aging treatment: Room temperature (± 5.56°C) / (± 10°F) for 14 - 24 hours, then at 154.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 310°F (± 10°F) for 20 hours.
Solution heat treated and overage/stabilized (T7): Solution heat treated in the range 510 - 515.5°C (± 5.56°C) / 950 - 960°F (± 10°F)/2 hours, then in the range 526.6 - 532.2°C (± 5.56°C) / 980 - 990°F (± 10°F)/14 - 20 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Aging treatment: Room temperature (± 5.56°C) / (± 10°F) for 12 - 14 hours, then at 187.7°C (± 5.56°C) / 370°F (± 10°F) for 5 hours.
