PROPRIETARY 2083 ISO-B Heat Treatments
- Stress relieving:
1. Temperature: Approx. 650°C in the annealed state
2. Duration: 1 hour per 50 mm wall thickness
3. Cooling: Furnace
Soft annealing:
1. Temperature: 820°C
2. Duration: 1 hour per 25 mm wall thickness
3. Cooling: Furnace
Hardening
1. Temperature: 980°C
2. Duration: 1 minute per mm wall thickness
Quenching hardness: Max. 56 HRC: in oil or vacuum
Tempering:
1. Temperature: See tempering curve
2. Duration: 1 hour per 25 mm wall thickness
3. Cooling: Air
Working hardness: 50–54 HRC
