ASME X17CrNi16-2 Heat Treatments
- Hot working (slow cooling): 1100-800°C; +A - Annealing (furnace or air cooling): 680-800°C (double annealing might be advisable)
+QT800 - Quenching (oil or air cooling): 950-1050°C; Tempering: 750-800°C and 650-700°C (In the case that the nickel is at the lower side of the specified range, a single tempering treatment at 620-720°C may be sufficient).
+QT900 - Quenching (oil or air cooling): 950-1050°C; Tempering: 600-650°C.
