TU 12H1MF Heat Treatments
- Normalization at 950 - 980°C, tempering at 720 - 750°C, holding 1 - 3h, air cooling. Allowed rapid fan or spray cooling. For tubes of steel melted in an electric furnace, allowed normalization temperature up to 1030°C and reducing the tempering temperature to 700°C, at least 1h. For cold-deformed pipes from marensite steel may be increasing normalization temperature to 990°C. For pipes with wall thickness greater than 15 mm during normalization is necessary to use individual cooling. Allowed normalization of hot deformed pipes up to 140 mm in diameter with rolling heating and tempering at 720 - 750°C.
- Normalized at 950 -1030°C, tempered at 700 - 730°C for 1 - 3h.
