VdTÜV X 10 CrMoVNb 9-1 Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering: Hardened at 1040-1080°C, quenched in oil (for wt < 80 mm can be cooled in air or in controlled atmosphere).
Tempered at 750-780°C, held for 2 min per mm thickness, minimum 60 min, cooled in air.
Tempering after welding: heated at 740 to 770°C, held for 2 min per mm thickness, minimum 60 min, cooled in air. - Hardening and tempering:
Hardening: 1040-1080°C, cooling in air (For wt > 80 mm cooling can be carried out in oil or in spray water); Tempering: 750-780°C, holding period min. 60 minutes (Holding time starts when the temperature in the cross section is reached), cooling in air;
Tempering after welding: 740-770°C, holding period for wt ≤ 8 mm is 30 minutes, for 8 < wt ≤ 30 mm is 60 minutes and for wt > 30 mm is 2 min/mm, cooling in air;
Stress relieving after cold forming: 650-750°C, holding period 2 min/mm, min. 60 minutes and cooling in air.
