ASME X3CrNiMo13-4 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1150 to 900°C, air cooling
Quenching (+QT780) at 950 to 1050°C, oil, air or water cooling and Tempering at 560 to 640°C;
Quenching (+QT900) at 950 to 1050°C, oil, air or water cooling and Tempering at 510 to 590°C;
Temperatures of annealing, quenching and tempering shall be agreed for simulated heat-treated test pieces;
If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred, or even exceeded. - Hot forming: 1150 to 900°C, air cooling; Quenching and tempering (+QT): Quenching from 950 to 1050°C, oil, air or water cooling; Tempering from 560 to 640°C.
