Heat Treatments

  • <b>Annealing</b>: Heated at 600-640°C, air cooled. <br /><b>Hardening or quenching (V1)</b>: Heated at 950-1050°C, air cooled or oil quenched. <br /> <b>Tempering</b>: Heated at 580-620°C <br /><b>Hardening or quenching (V2)</b>: Heated at 950-1050°C, air cooled or oil quenched. <br /> <b>Tempering</b>: Heated at 560-600°C for minimum 2 x 4h or minimum 8h. For sheets, minimum 5h. <br /><b>Hardening or quenching (V3)</b>: Heated at 950-1050°C, air cooled or oil quenched. <br /> <b>Tempering</b>: Heated at 520-560°C
  • <b>Quenched</b> at ≤ 1050°C <br /> <b>Tempered</b> at 600-630°C <br /> <b>Stress relief annealed</b> at ≥ 570°C. This temperature must be at least 30°C below the tempering temperature and must not be below the specified minimum value
