PROPRIETARY BMV4 Heat Treatments
- Annealed condition: heat to 830°C followed by slow cooling.
Quenched and tempered: Quench and double temper at 570°C 2 hours.
Harden: Preheat at 750°C. Heat to 1010°C. Air cool.
Temper: Two successive tempers between 550°C and 650°C depending on properties required.
Forged: 1150/1000°C
