PROPRIETARY Sandvik Nanoflex Heat Treatments
- Wire strength is increased remarkably with ageing at 400-450°C (750-840°F). Optimum ageing (wires) is made at 475°C (885°F) for 4h. Ageing (strips) at 525°C (977°F) for 1h.
Strips annealing: Austenitizing: 1200°C (2190°F) for 5 minutes in a protective atmosphere like argon, hydrogen or vacuum. Isothermal treatment: -40°C (-40°F) for 24 hours. Ageing: 525°C (977°F) for 1 hour.
