PROPRIETARY Sandvik 1RK91 Heat Treatments
- Austenitizing at 1200°C (2190°F) for 5 minutes in a protective atmosphere like argon, hydrogen or vacuum. Isothermal treatment at -40°C (-40°F) for 24 hours. Ageing at 525°C (977°F) for 1 hour. For wires optimum ageing is made at 475°C (885°F) for 4 hours.
